We go away to get away from everyday life. So do not expect the same food or daily conditions of home. We went for the beach and the glorious blue ocean. There was always something to eat and lots of beverages available.

Fantastic resort. Our first visit to Cuba was to this resort, and keeps us coming back! Staff is very friendly, bar staff is amazing and a pleasure to be with, administration is always on top of things, is always approachable and takes the time to ask how your day is.

Just came back from breezes Varadero with my husband and we really had a beautiful vacation. At this time of year the resort was very quiet, but that is exactly what we were looking for... no struggle to get a chair at the beach or waiting in lines for food & drinks.

Stayed at the Breezes Varadero at the end of June / beginning of July with my partner. As a gay couple there, we felt very safe but of course we used discretion. Beautiful beaches with white sand and crystal clear water.

My husband and I spent a week at Breezes Jibacoa from March 3-April 8, and we can not say enough about this resort. As the reviews have all said, it is clean, the grounds are immaculate, the food is very good, amazing snorkling and the people are very friendly.
There were alot of repeat customers at this resort. Many people we had talked to had been there numerous times, which shows how great this place really is!
There isn't much shade by the pool, and you do need to wake up very early to reserve some shade. But there is always shade at the beach.
We had met a bar tender at the Beach Bar nammed Odeitty. He has an old classic car and took us to Havana for the day. 70 pescos for both of us. We left at 9am and returned at 530. He brought us everywhere. We didn't have anything in particular that we wanted to see, so he gave us a walking tour and drove around Havana. I have always been told that cubans are nice people, and this man was exactly that. We enjoyed our day with him, and really got a look at what the real cuba is all about.
We did take the scooters out for a few hours. That was neat. We drove into Santa Cruz and explored the town. Santa Cruz isn't "touristy" at all. But Santa Cruz is a really neat little town.
Another excurion we did was the Jeep Tour....that was so much fun, and we highly recommend. It brought us through Mensa (farming community), Matanza, and some remote areas as well. We explored the Crystal Caves, Snorkled, swam in the Saturno Cave and went to a coffee plantation where we were fed a Creole lunch.....fantastic!
Breezes Jibacoa, as you all can see/read from the previous reviews, is a great place to stay. It isn't in a busy area, and is definately the type of resort for relaxing and exploring the part of Cuba that isn't touristy like Varadero. We did take advantage of the hike and walks offered by the hotel. Again exploring the area, and visiting with the locals. This too was a nice touch.
If you are looking for a nice, quiet resort with great snorkling, this is the resort for you.
I wouldn't hesitate returning here!

We had never been to an all inclusive so we weren't sure what to expect but whatever limited expectations we had were amply met. The service was friendly, courteous, playful and very helpful.
Tennis!! I got expert instruction and had fun everyday. Snorkeling!! Superb and right off the beach. Beach bar!! Mojiotos, fresh fish, beer, hot dogs and an amazing view...what's not to like?? Entertainment!! From beach volley ball to evening shows by the pool. Catamarans, pedal boats, kayaks, hiking, gym, yoga...something for everyone. Tours off site, fun and informative whether you use a private taxi or go on a group tour; we did both. Massage!! Oh so glorious.
Tipping is good!
Okay the food, not particularly inspired, but generally palatable. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and the fresh buns and breads. Desserts were delicious. The egg man nicknamed, Maestro, cooked eggs to perfection and would remember what you had and did it with flare! So we learned what to seek out and what to avoid. We ended up having most lunches at the beach grill. The buffet was good for breakfast, but a bit uneven for dinner. The Italian restaurant, Martino's, was very good, again depending on what you order. Good Chilean or Australian wine can be purchased for 12 or 13 pesos a bottle. The Cuban restaurant, la Taberna, was not to our taste but the music was great.
True, Jibacoa is a bit removed from the clubs and hubbub of the city but that worked for us. What a refreshing treat to be able to sit at the beach, snorkel and swim without the constant buzzing of jet skis and speed boats! Yes, we would go back for the ambiance, people and relaxation we enjoyed at Jibacoa.
